About Tracy:
Tracy is the daughter of the late Robert Johnston, who founded Robert Johnston Kitchen & Bath, Inc. Some of Tracy’s fondest childhood memories consist of growing up cooking in the kitchen with her mother. Her entire life has revolved around the home remodeling business that her dad started in 1963. At a young age, Tracy knew that, along with her two older brothers, she wanted to carry on the tradition of running the family business her father loved.
In 1985, Mr. Johnston acquired the building on Morganza Road where the showroom is located today. Plans were quickly drawn up to expand the building to have a larger showroom in 1990.
In 1988, Tracy was one of the youngest designers to become certified by the National Kitchen & Bath Association in kitchen design. She went on to complete the requirements to become a Certified Bath Designer in 1993. In 1997, she served as the National Representative of the Pittsburgh Tri-State Chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association. In 1999, Tracy passed the National Council of Interior Design Qualification exam to become a licensed designer and joined the American Society of Interior Designers. Throughout the years, Tracy has continued to keep up-to-date in the latest trends and designs of this ever changing industry by attending trade shows, seminars, and ongoing education. She believes that the kitchen is the heart of the home and feels very comfortable cooking, entertaining, and designing kitchens and bathrooms for others. Tracy married Denny Caruso, the owner of Caruso Cabinet Manufacturing, in 1993. They have two sons who are now the 4th generation to work at the cabinet shop in North Huntingdon with their Father. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and baking, camping with her family to national parks and doing volunteer work at church.
